For a jailbroken iPhone or iPad user, it can be very annoying to receive the OTA software update notification when a new iOS version is released. Updating the iOS will remove your jailbreak and you are probably unable to jailbreak your device again in near future.
Is there any way to remove the update notice badge without updating the iOS? Yes! Here is how it goes with the tweak called noOTA badge:
- Open Cydia and search "noOTA badge".
- Tap it to enter install page when it shows up in the results.
- Touch "Install – Confirm" to install noOTA badge to your iPhone, iPad or iPod.
- Re-spring or reboot your device, you will see that the badge notice on Settings is removed.
Please notice that you don’t need to do any configuration after installing this tweak. In addition, it doesn’t show up in settings, and no icon. The only way to find it is to locate in Cydia – Packages.
